Advantage® is a long-lasting, once a month topical flea treatment. This over-the-counter formula is for dog and puppies 8 weeks or older. Advantage® contains imidacloprid, this fast acting flea preventive stops fleas from biting in 3-5 minutes, begins killing fleas within the first hour of application and eliminates 98%-100% of adult fleas within 12 hours of use. The ing ient imidacloprid works by affecting the flea or tick’s nervous system. Because Advantage® works fast it has been found to be ideal for dogs suffering from Flea Allergy Dermatitis. Active ing ient is Imidacoprid Directions: For dogs that weigh up to 20 lbs. place the applicator tip in between your pet’s shoulder blades, down to the skin level and squeeze the applicator applying the entire contents in a single spot. For dogs 21 lbs. and over apply the contents evenly in 3-4 spots at the skin level along the back from should blade area to the base of the tail. Avoid superficial application to the dog’s hair. Only one application per treatment is needed. Frequency Of Application: Research demonstrates that Advantage® kills re-infesting fleas within 2 hours and lasts for up to 4 weeks.
